De Silva thanks Pakistan for support in fight against terrorism

RAWALPINDI: Sri Lanka Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General A.W.J.C De Silva called on Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visiting dignitary was briefed about the ongoing operation against terrorism and banned outfits. Both sides reaffirmed their determination to work together for enhancing regional security and continuing existing military cooperation.

De Silva appreciated Pakistan Army’s achievements and contributions towards national and regional security. He thanked Pakistan Army for incessant support to Sri Lankan’s fight against terrorism and expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s ability to completely overcome the menace in near future.

The Sri Lankan Army Chief laid floral wreath on the Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
