KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Education & Literacy Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said that Sindh Education Department was fully aware of the problems faced by education boards across the province. He said the department had made all arrangements to release funds to the education boards on the basis of enrolment of students in classes IX, X, XI and XII, in public sector schools. He made the remarks while speaking to media persons at Sindh Assembly. He said that Sindh Education Department had issued clear directives that if any government school was charging any kind of fee— registration, enrolment or annual examination fee— it would be taken to task as they were not entitled to collect any fee from the students. Meanwhile, while taking notice of the use of sub-standard gas cylinders in school vans, the minister directed Sindh Private Educational Institutions director general to ensure the safety of students and direct the administrations of private institutions to follow safety protocols in that regard.
