Two more testify in Mashal murder case

HARIPUR: Anti-Terrorism Court Abbottabad on Thursday recorded the statements of two more witnesses in the hearing of Mashal Khan murder case at the camp court in Haripur Central Prison.

Anti-Terrorism Court Abbottabad adjourned the hearing of Mashal Khan murder case till November 8, after recording the statements of two witnesses, SHO Saleem and Warden Ali Nawaz.

The prosecution lawyers abandoned three witnesses of Mashal Khan murder case including gatekeeper Himmat Khan, Muhammad Abbas and Ali Muhammad.

For the hearing, strict security measures were taken in which a large number of lawyers including Advocate Masood Azhar, prosecutor, and father of ill-fated Mashal Khan were present. Mashal Khan was killed by an angry mob in the premises of Abdul Wali Khan University on 13 April, 2017, over llegations of posting blasphemous content online.
