Presiding over a follow-up meeting of the CPEC Security at the Central Police Office on Wednesday, the inspector general said that the software would be installed at hotels in Hyderabad and Sukkur soon.
A large number of senior police officials, including additional inspectors general of the Special Branch, Administration, Karachi, Headquarters, Rapid Response Force RRF and Finance wings, attended the meeting.
The inspector general also directed senior superintendents of police (SSPs) to hold schedule meetings with representatives of the chambers and industrial zones at district level and make them aware of the responsibilities of sponsors about the security measures for Chinese and foreigners under the standard operating system.
The IG also directed the RRF deputy inspector general to submit an audit report on security of CPEC-related projects every fortnight and also directed same to the district SSPs.
