Lady health workers issued show cause notices

KHAIRPUR: Polio lady health workers absent from their duty were served show cause notices during polio campaign.

A meeting of anti-polio committee with Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Sohu reviewing the anti-polio drive observed abstention of four lady workers from duty. Gambat Assistant Commissioner informed those present in the meeting that these lady workers remained absent from their official obligation. Taking note of that, Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned department to stop their salaries till completion of report in this connection.

DC directed polio teams to improve their performance for positive results of anti-polio campaign and no tolerance in this regard would be accepted. He further ordered action to be taken against officials on negligence.

Mukhtiarkars, officials of population and welfare department, social welfare department, education, revenue and volunteer workers from all eight talukas of district attended the meeting.
