LAHORE: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Asif Ghafoor has condemned the attack on The News journalist, Ahmad Noorani.
In a tweet, he condemned the attack and called it an attempt to cause unrest in the country. He further said that he would fully support all efforts for justice.
Reportedly, a representative of ISPR also visited Noorani at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and gave him a bouquet.
The journalist was assaulted by unidentified men in Islamabad on Friday when his car was stopped by three men travelling on a motorcycle near Zero Point, and it is being said that three more men joined the attackers and started hitting Noorani with iron rods and thrashing him after taking out the car keys from the ignition system.
His condition is said to be improving steadily.
