Member of the Opposition Wazeer Mahar maintained that small level UC development schemes should be designed instead of envisaging mega projects. Deputy Mayor Tarique Chohan, disclosing issue of appointment of more than 300 sanitary staff, said that ghost employees were present in the department and they were not performing their respective duties.

He sought approval for the removal of ghost sanitary staff. Mayor ordered inquiry into meter and deferred the issue to the next meeting. Meanwhile, Corporation has yet to finalise decision regarding inquiry being held to probe corruption of Rs 8.4 million on petrol head.
