ABBOTTABAD: The traffic police has devised a plan to avoid traffic blockage during the peak tourism season in Abbottabad, for smooth flow of vehicles moving between Salhad and Muree Road, the hotspots for tourists.
There is no alternative route for the tourist trail passing through Abbottabad and traffic chaos in summers was a norm here.
Abbottabad traffic in-charge Farooq Khan while talking to the media disclosed that heavy vehicles will be bound to follow a schedule to enter or exit Abbottabad so that tourist traffic is not disturbed.
“We have decided to restrict heavy traffic and make a schedule for their entry in Abbottabad to ease the traffic congestion for tourists and citizens,” he said.
He further said that on Sundays from 6am to 9am heavy traffic will not be allowed to enter the city.
