14 arrested in targeted operations

KARACHI: As many as 14 suspects were apprehended during ongoing targeted operations by paramilitary forces in parts of Karachi, on Wednesday.

A suspected street criminal was arrested during a targeted raid conducted in Zaman Town. A Rangers spokesperson said the accused was involved in various cases of street crimes and robberies. Separately, eleven suspects were apprehended during various targeted raids conducted in Awami Colony, Zaman Town, Model Colony, Baghdadi and Kalakot areas. The suspects arrested were identified as: Danish Gulfam, Riazuddin alias Kala, Nirmal, Ibrahim Shah, Syed Abid Ali alias Diggi, Javed alias Piddi, Asif Niazi, Wajid, Younus Masih, Nabeel and Babar.

The Rangers spokesperson said the suspects arrested were involved in drug peddling.
