Traffic accidents in Turbat

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Turbat’s population has risen exponentially in recent years. As a result one hears about traffic accidents occurring everyday. In fact, those Turbat residents who spend a significant amount of time on the roads often see two or three traffic accidents everyday! These accidents can have devastating consequences for everyone involved. At best they will only suffer from a financial setback but often they have to deal with devastating injuries. At worst, people die as a result of these traffic accidents and this happens far too often.

A major reason for the frequency of traffic accidents in Turbat is the lack of any traffic regulation system in Turbat. Traffic lights don’t work and any kind of traffic law enforcement remains absent. As a result the citizens of Turbat are left to drive in what can only be called a free for all traffic system. This causes frustration, stress and road rage which compels people to drive in a reckless manner. And obviously, this results in the above mentioned traffic accidents.

It is my humble request to the concerned authorities that they implement some kind of traffic regulation system in Turbat so that the people of Turbat get some measure of relief from these accidents.
