DADU: A number of Dadu District Council employees Tuesday staged a demonstration before the local press club against non-payment of salaries. Carrying banners and placards they raised slogans against District Council chairman, Muhammad Ashraf Solangi, and demanded his removal from the office. Shahnawaz Shah, Ayaz Sand, Javeed Lund, Altif Sail and others said around 50 employees were deprived of their salaries for the last six years. “We were appointment in 2012 but had got only one salary in six years and Dadu District elected members and party representatives have been failed to resolve our problems,” they said. “Despite Sindh High Court directives to all districts chairmen for paying salaries, Dadu District Council Chairman, Muhammad Ashraf was not ready to clear their dues,” they added.
