Bharumal was of the view that that forts constructed by the Talpur rulers including Mir Karam Ali Khan and Mir Fateh Mohammad Khan and others in Chelhar, Diplo, Islamkot, Sengario, Mithi and Khadi faced the hazard of demolition at the hands of the land-grabber mafia. He further said that local forest officers had already sold the land surrounding the fort to powerful individuals.
