Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has highlighted the benefits of agricultural cooperation with Belarus. He believes this partnership will significantly boost Pakistan’s agriculture sector. Following his recent visit to Belarus, he announced plans for joint ventures to manufacture agricultural machinery locally. This collaboration will leverage Belarus’s expertise in the field.

During a media briefing, Sharif described his visit as successful and beneficial. He noted that Pakistan’s mineral resources could also improve through Belarusian collaboration, especially in mining machinery. He emphasized that these initiatives would contribute to Pakistan’s overall growth in agriculture and mining.

Additionally, an agreement was made to send 150,000 skilled Pakistani youth to Belarus for employment opportunities. The selection process for this initiative will be purely based on merit. Sharif stressed that these efforts would significantly advance Pakistan’s agricultural industry and lead to broader national prosperity.

In his remarks, Sharif also addressed Pakistan’s relationship with Afghanistan. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful relations but expressed concerns over terrorist groups using Afghan soil. He urged the Afghan government to take action against these groups. Overall, the Prime Minister’s statements reflect the government’s dedication to enhancing agriculture and strengthening international ties to support economic growth.
