One dead, multiple trapped in Balochistan coal mine collapse

QUETTA: Rescue authorities recovered the body of a miner who was trapped on Friday after an accident at a coal mine in Harnai District of Balochistan.

Meanwhile a miner was safely recovered while five of collegues still remain trapped inside the mine.

Chief Inspector Mines  Iftikhar Ahmed stated that a landslide occured at two different parts of the Sharig Coal Mine in Harnai, adding that rescue operations are underway to recover the remaining miners who are still trapped inside the mine.

It is pertinent to mention here that, a month back, three coal miners lost their lives after poisonous gas accumulated inside another coal mine in Harnai district.
