KARACHI: Rangers and Police have rounded up 10 criminals including Kidnappers, extortionists and suspects of other crimes on Saturday during raids in different areas of city.

According to Rangers officials, Mohammad Naeem Khan, along with his companion, had kidnapped Murad Khan, the owner of Mubarak Hotel from Azizabad, on April 18.

The suspects kept the man hostage inside a residential building in the city’s Keamari area and had demanded Rs 2.2 million ransoms from his family. Upon receiving the complaint, Rangers used technical monitoring and ground surveillance after which they took action and arrested the kidnapper. The suspect has been handed over to police for further interrogation. An First Information Report (FIR) against Naeem Khan, for the kidnapping of Murad Khan, has been registered at Jackson police station.

While a team of police station Brigade have arrested five drug sellers during a raid on a drug dens including Muhammad Akram, Hazrat Ali, Sobheer Ali, Anwar Khan and Surang Zaib.

Ittehad Town Police took action in connection with implementation of Nation Action Plan (NAP) Sindh Temporary Resident Act and have arrested Bhakat Alam and Nasim.

Meanwhile a team of Police station Mobina Town has arrested Syed Moazzam Ali who was involved in an firing incident in the area, police has recovered weapon from his custody.

Pakistan Bazar police has raided a house in Orange Town area on an information tip and have arrested three-members of a Gang involved in many robberies in Orangi Town including Jaffar Abbas, Fayaz Ahmed, Sharafat and have recovered two TT Pistols with seven rounds, one LCD Monitor, one computer monitor one Laptop and nine new Mobile phones and some cash.

A team of police staion Baldia have raided the Itehad Town area and arrested an accused namely Abdul Kareem , recovered one pistol 30-bore three rounds one motorcycle Honda-70 which was had been stolen from jurisdiction of police station Baldia in January.

Police Station Gabool Town has arrested a hardcore dacoit Khurram. According to the police he along with his accomplices Adil alias Hangama and Roheel had snatched Rs 80,000 from Mohammad Younus in the jurisdiction of police station Soldier Bazaar and had shot him to death; further more he along with his companions had robbed two people near Nomaish Chowrangi and shot them injured and in a third incident the suspect along with his accomplices had fired upon M. Shahbaz in jurisdiction of Garden.
