KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday said that his party would win a majority of seats from Karachi, as well as other countries, in the 2018 elections.
He was addressing a ceremony held to mark the joining of around 100 leaders, office-bearers and workers from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Functional Muslim League who have joined the PPP. Zubair Khan of the PTI Labour Wing, former Korangi town nazim Naeem Shaikh, Sheikh Mohammad Feroz, Farah Shaikh and Samina Salam are among those who have joined the PPP.
“Those joining the PPP from other political parties will be given full opportunities to perform to their fullest potential to change the political landscape of provincial capital Karachi. Let us work together for restoration of city of lights and the city of peace besides provision of food, shelter and clothes to every citizen,” he said.
Bilawal urged the workers to coordinate with the new entrants for achieving the mission to serve people of the city.
