RAWALPINDI: The Local administration has imposed a ban on use of fireworks, firecrackers and air firing on the forthcoming Shab-e-Barat festival in Rawalpindi Division.
A ban has also been imposed on trading of equipment used in fireworks, while cases would also be lodged against people violating the ban.
The authorities were directed to start crackdown against anyone involved in smuggling, selling or breaking the law and sent him to jail on daily basis.
According to sources, the police have started taking action against dealers, involved in the business of fireworks and firecrackers.
Meanwhile, the special security initiatives have been taken, while Mosques and other religious places’ security have also been beefed up to avoid any untoward incident.
