Hot and dry weather to prevail in most areas of country

ISLAMABAD: Mainly hot and dry weather will prevail in most plain areas of the country during the next 48 hours.

According to Metrological Department, very hot weather is likely in upper Sindh and south Punjab.

However, light rain-thunderstorm is expected in isolated places in  Makran, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu divisions, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

The rainfall recorded in some of the areas on Sunday was Kalam 19, Mirkhani 16, Dir 13, Drosh 11, Parachinar 07, Chitral, Kohat 03, Cherat, Malamjabba 02 Astore 03. Kamra, Mianwali 01. Garhi Dupatta 01. Mithi 01.

The temperature recorded in some of the areas of Sunday are Dadu, Larkana, Sukkur 48°C, Sibbi, Jacobabad 47°C, Chhor, Padidan, Rohri, Rahim yar khan, Shaheed Benazirabad 46°C, Islamabad 29°C, Lahore 32°C, Karachi 34°C, Peshawar 29°C, Quetta 24°C, Gilgit, Murree 22°C and Muzaffarabad 20°C.
