LAHORE: Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited added a new facility, ‘Honda Heritage Centre’, to its factory at Manga Mandi, Lahore. The facility was inaugurated by Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited President & CEO Toichi Ishiyama. VP HR & Admin Maqsood Rehmani, VP Production Kenichi Matsuo, and other senior officials were also present at the ceremony.
The facility has been developed to the exhibit the history of Honda in Pakistan to the visitors, the company said.
The pictorial visit mentions details of the launch of all models of Honda vehicles in Pakistan since 1994. It exhibits the technology features which Honda introduced for the ‘first time’ in Pakistan automobile market and a history page explaining the chronology of events since 1992.
The company also highlighted the efforts of localization by displaying locally manufactured parts of Civic, City and BR-V models produced in Pakistan. The facility also displays the first Honda Civic manufactured in Pakistan, in May 1994, and first Honda City, produced in January 1997. Toichi Ishiyama appreciated the efforts of the company to introduce the facility, which would provide valuable historical information to the guests visiting Honda Atlas, he said.
