New Friends Shotokan Karate Club holds reunion party

LAHORE: New friends Shotokan Karate Club held a reunion barbeque party for club’s national players and club members to discuss the future strategy regarding upcoming events: National Games and Punjab Championship. Fayyaz Feroze, the secretary general of the Lahore District Karate Association, and club owner organised the event.

International silver medalist Saweel Fayyaz, national medalist Kasim Ali, national gold medalist Meamoona Qadeer, national Ayesha Amjad, Saira Amjad, Ayesha Ibrahim, Farhan Taj, Shams Iftikhar, Sheroz Dilfraz, Sameer Ahmad, and Sajawal Fayyaz along with other club enrolled junior players attended the party. Speaking on the occasion, Fayyaz Feroze said: “These get-togethers are essential to boost morale of players and also help them to release stress after months of hard training.” He further added that such gatherings should be held frequently to provide players an opportunity to socialise.”
New Friends Shotokan Karate Club was founded in 1998. More than 100 players are enrolled with the club among which several players represented Pakistan at international level. This year New Friends Shotokan Karate Club had organise several events, most prominent were Independence Day Karate Championship and District Lahore Karate Championship.
