Sir: Shortage of clean drinking water, poor sanitation, a failed drainage system and encroachments are severe problems in Gujrat.
Shockingly, there is no mechanism to dispose of hospital waste, public toilets are lacking at busy locations, and there is a shortage of graveyards, green belts and a lack of tree plantation. There is a lack of coordination between government departments and poor facilities at bus stands cause severe problems.
Polythene bags are the major source of choking sewage system in all urban centres of the country.
The government would be able to overcome the crisis of poor sewagee system by banning polythene bags. Thus, the government should take concrete steps to solve the problems of Gujrat.
