RAWALPINDI: A decision has been taken to launch a crackdown against property tax defaulters during Ramazan.
The Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation department has directed its officials to achieve the set target of sealing of properties during Ramazan.
All steps, including issuance of arrest warrants, will be taken to fulfill the target set till June, officials said. “The Excise secretary had directed the officials to limit their actions against property tax defaulters in the past years during Ramazan. However, this time the operation will be carried with full force,” an official said.
ETO Raiz Qureshi said that recovery would be done under all circumstances during the Ramazan from tax defaulters.
