LAHORE: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Sunday stated that the Constitution of Pakistan provides equal rights to every citizen of the country.
While addressing a women judge’s conference in Lahore the chief justice said that according to the Constitution of our country, every Pakistani has the same basic rights, adding that it is vital to actually ‘know’ the law and consider matters surpassing our own ideas of justice.
Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Justice Mansoor Ali Khan also addressed the gathering regarding women judges and stated that “we recognize the difficulties women face every day in the legal profession” adding that efforts are underway to ensure a transparent justice system.
LHC CJ said that at least 1.2 million court cases are being heard in Punjab and stated that newer technology is being introduced to help and assist litigants.
While addressing the women judges conference, Justice Mansoor said that the problems encountered by judges and the legal professionals are being resolved on a priority basis.
