Bilawal, Zardari meet Dawoodi Bohra community head

KARACHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited the residence the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community, his holiness Dr Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin on Sunday.

The spiritual leader of Dawoodi Bohra community had arrived in Karachi last month after two decades. He had addressed a Moharam Majlis in Karachi attended by 70,000 thousand followers with a large number from foreign countries. Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also accompanied the PPP leadership. Separately, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday appointed following office bearers of various affiliated wings of South Punjab with immediate effect: Syed Arif Hussain Shah as the Youth Wing president, Fahad Khan as general secretary and Mian Noor Ellahi as information secretary. Mian Abdul Rehman Siddiqui Deenpuri has been appointed as the Ulema Wing president, Muhammed Nazeer Baig as senior vice president and Hafiz Muhammed Jamil Noorani as general secretary. Basru Jee has been appointed as Minority Wing president and Amir Naveed Jeeva as general secretary.
