LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa paid a visit to the family of Naib Subedar Muhammad Nadeem Shaheed at village Chah Ganja, Jhelum on Monday.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement published today, the Army Chief interacted with Nadeem Shaheed’s brave family, laid a wreath at his grave and offered ‘dua’.
Naib Subedar Nadeem embraced Shahadat when he came under Indian shelling in Rakh Chikri sector of the Line of Control (LOC) on September 29 while helping the injured civilians evacuate from the area.
The COAS said that Nadeem had lived up to the commitment of Pakistan Army by laying down his own life while protecting the innocent civilians from the Indian Army at the LOC.
