The prime minister expressed these views during a meeting with Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhel who called on him.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Azad Jammu and Kashmir Shah Ghulam Qadir, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
During the meeting, matters related to Balochistan province were discussed. The Governor thanked the prime minister for taking special interest in the development projects of the province. President AJK Pakistan Muslim League, Shah Ghulam Qadir also expressed gratitude to the prime minister for providing a Rs. 23 billion package to address the energy issues of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The prime minister advised Shah Ghulam Qadir to continue his efforts so that the people of AJK could get maximum relief.
Brazil President
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday extended his “heartfelt wishes” for a swift and full recovery to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil after he underwent brain surgery.
“Sending my heartfelt wishes for a swift and full recovery to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as he recovers from surgery,” the prime minister wrote on his X timeline.
He said, “Our thoughts are with you and the people of Brazil during this challenging time. Get well soon.”
The medical team of the Brazilian president said in a statement that his MRI test showed intracranial hemorrhage, resulting from the accident at home in October. He was transferred to Hospital Sírio-Libanês, São Paulo unit, where he underwent craniotomy to drain the hematoma. “The surgery was uneventful. At the moment, the President is well, under monitoring in an ICU bed,” the statement added.
Bangladesh
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday while conveying his warm wishes to Chief Advisor of Interim Bangladesh government Dr Muhammad Yunus, underscored that the existing goodwill between Pakistan and Bangladesh needed to be translated into tangible cooperation.
The prime minister made these remarks while appreciating the remarkable contributions made by the outgoing High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Muhammad Ruhul Alam Siddique for promotion of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations, a Prime Minister Office news release said.
The Bangladeshi outgoing High Commissioner paid a farewell call on the prime minister who is returning to Bangladesh, after completing his four-year tenure in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stressed that Pakistan greatly valued its relations with Bangladesh, which were rooted in shared history, common faith and cultural similarities.
He wished the High Commissioner success in his future endeavors.
The High Commissioner thanked the prime minister for the facilitation, courtesies and privileges extended to him during his stay in Pakistan.
