Brad Pitt gets into gear for ‘F1’ movie filming at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Brad Pitt was spotted filming scenes for a Formula 1movie in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Pitt was dressed in all-white racing gear on the set at the Yas Marina Circuit ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Thursday, according to a report by PEOPLE magazine. In the photos shared online, the actor can be seen holding a hat that appeared to be autographed as he interacted with crew members and actors.

F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski of Top Gun: Maverick fame, follows the story of a former Formula 1 driver, played by Pitt, who returns to the sport with his team APXGP. Besides Pitt, the film also stars Damson Idris, who plays his teammate, and other notable actors such as Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and Tobias Menzies.

It is worth mentioning that the film is being shot during live F1 events, showcasing real-world racing circuits like Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Additionally, F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, is also involved with the film as a producer through his production company, Dawn Apollo Films.

The movie is set to release on June 27, 2025, in theaters and IMAX.
