QUETTA: Balochistan’s former home minister Nawabzada Gazein Marri was taken in custody late Tuesday after he was released upon the orders Balochistan High Court (BHC) following an earlier arrest.
Security was tight and a heavy police contingent was deployed around the district jail following the BHC’s release orders for the ex-home minister.
Senior police officials were also present in the jail premises and an armored vehicle awaited Marri so he could be transported safely.
Sources state that the former home minister was arrested right after his release because he has another case registered against him, at first he resisted the arrest but after a while gave into the additional deputy commissioner and assistant commissioner’s demands.
Marri remarked that if there are more cases registered against him, he should be arrested in front of the media.
It is pertinent to mention here that Nawabzada Gazein Marri has already been granted bail by different courts in Sibbi and Quetta.
