Sir: These days everybody in the country seems to have their hopes set on the Gwadar deep sea port. They expect Gwadar to be asias next big economic powerhouse and drag Pakistan out of financial ruin. My question is, how is Gwadar supposed to do all this if the people of Gwadar don’t have any water? Gwadar remains without any steady supply of potable water despite all the ongoing development projects there by Pakistan and China. I would like to tell the government to provide Gwadar with basic facilities before they start dreaming of turning it into ‘the next Singapore’.
