During the meeting both leaders discussed the role of Muslim leadership in addressing contemporary challenges. Murad praised the Council’s contributions to Sharia-based legislation and emphasized the need for responsible leadership. Dr. Naeemi congratulated UMT for its top university ranking and commended its faculty.
Both leaders agreed to strengthen collaboration in research and education, focusing on actionable strategies for empowering Muslim leadership. UMT announced the Council’s golden jubilee celebrations in December, with academic sessions and participation from national figures.
Dr. Naeemi also joined a panel on “Challenges and Opportunities for Muslim Leadership in the Age of Technology” highlighting the need to align technological advancements with Sharia principles.
