NAUDERO: Larkana District and Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kalhoro visited Benazir Bhutto Government Girls Degree College, amid reports of a lack of basic facilities published in the national media.

The judge visited classrooms and asked students about facilities available in the college along with difficulties being faced by the students in getting proper education. The students told him about the acute shortage of proper teaching staff.

The judge inspected the college’s staff attendance record and found two staff members absconding. He asked both staff members to appear before him next week.

College Principal Shaheen Akhtar Pathan informed the judge that the college had been facing multifarious problems for the last three years. She also apprised him of her failed attempts to get the situation rectified by writing to concerned authorities. The judge directed her to send him a letter detailing all the problems being faced by the college so that they could be tackled without further ado.
