PTI colluding with PML-N, alleges Asif Zardari

NOWSHERA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari said Wednesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was indulging in politics of ‘Muk-Muka’ with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Speaking to media personnel during a press conference, Asif Zardari said that PTI had supported PML-N in the Upper House. “They (PTI) are doing the politics of show only,” he said. Zardari said that while PTI portrayed itself to be a political party against the status quo, in reality they were colluding with PML-N.

Zardari and Imran Khan levelled allegations against each other publicly. The two party heads traded barbs with Imran stating that Zardari was granted a clean chit by former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chief. Zardari on the other hand had referred to Imran as an ‘innocent player’. Zardari rhetorically questioned the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that how could Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak build a ‘new Pakistan’ when he could not build a ‘new Nowshera’, his hometown. Zardari also criticised Awami National Party (ANP) stating their alleged interest-based politics was at expense of the people.

He claimed that the purpose of delivering an address in NA-4 was not to procure votes. He alleged PTI and ANP of having resorted to ‘cutting deals’ for more votes in Senate. He asserted that Pakistan People’s Party would walk side by side with Pashtuns.
