Schooling system

Sir: As I and many other colleagues enter college, we’re still weak in reading comprehension and public speaking skills. The first words said to me by lecturers at college were that my basics were weak.

Later, I came to know that course material tested in 9th and 10th grades constituted the basics and the quality of education imparted at schools where I and many other peers studied for 9th and 10th was deplorable.

After studying for one year at college, I compare my 11 years in school with only one year in college, I felt awkward knowing that how irresponsible the school authorities were. Having eight periods in school, I got 20 percent of the taught things which were being taught to me till the 1st class.

Teachers came and sat on the chairs till the complete period saying that the text-books are not valid. The schooling system is so much frustrating that no one ever wants to go on the path willingly. The teaching method is same since the starting of education. Students are getting fed up from schools resulting which many of the schools’ students bunk off the classes and run away during the periods. Thus, my humble request to the authorities is to make the schooling system strong so that they should not face trouble in colleges. Some concrete steps need to be taken by school administrations to improve the quality of basic education.
