GUJRANWALA: On the World Thalassaemia Day, Sundas Blood Foundation organised a walk on GT Road to educate people about thalassaemia and blood cancer. Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Noorish Saba, representatives of social and political organisations were also participated in the walk.
Speaking on the occasion, Saba said that walks and seminars on the topic should be arranged to create awareness in the people about the thalassaemia. She said prevention is the only solution to eradicate the disease because treatment of thalassaemia is very costly in Pakistan. She urged the people to donate blood to save the lives of the children suffering from thalassaemia.
