RAWALPINDI: A US delegation comprising United States Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale, Lisa Curtis, Alice G. Wells, and other representatives, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Thursday.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delegation briefed the COAS on contours of US strategy in South Asia. Discussions focused on the regional security situation and how Pakistan had positively contributed towards peace and stability in the region.
The COAS reiterated that Pakistan had done its best to maintain peace in the region despite several constraints and would continue its efforts for the sake of future of Pakistan.
The delegation appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan Army’s contributions and Pakistan’s sacrifices in the War on Terror.
The US delegation was also apprised of the atrocities and human rights violations being committed by the Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
