Winter holidays announced for schools in Punjab

The Punjab edication department on Monday announced winter holidays for schools and colleges across the province. The Secretary of Schools Punjab, Khalid Nazir Watoo, has officially confirmed that winter holidays for schools across the province will commence from December 20. In a statement released to the public, Watoo announced that students and staff would enjoy a break from school for 20 days, with schools reopening on January 10, 2025. This announcement comes as students and parents in Punjab eagerly await the winter season. Earlier on Sunday, Punjab University announced one-week postponement of its examinations. The university issued an official notification regarding the change. According to the spokesperson, the on-campus mid-term exams, originally set to begin on November 25, will now be delayed by a week. However, the spokesperson confirmed that university classes will proceed as scheduled. Heads of Departments (HoDs) will continue conducting lectures in their respective departments, either online, in person, or in a hybrid format, as per the notification.
