Woman stabbed in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area

KARACHI: Another woman was reportedly attacked with a sharp object in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area early Friday, this incident takes the knife attack victim count to 16 in the recent weeks.

Sources state that the woman was on her way to work when the attacker wearing a helmet and riding a bike attacked her and sped away.

The 40-year old woman was treated for her wounds at her own home and afterwards she showed up at Hyederi police station to register a case in this incident.

The attack comes after a gap of a few days, earlier 15 women were stabbed and assaulted by sharp objects in recent weeks beginning from September 25 when the first stabbing incident took place according to reports.

The attacker is said to be targeting people in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Jauhar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal areas and police and other security officials have so far failed in finding the culprit or culprits and arresting them.
