Lahore: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said that the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor should refrain from passing comments on the economic situation of the country.
In response to the DG ISPR’s comments about increasing debts in the country, Iqbal said, “irresponsible comments can damage the global image of Pakistan.”
“The country’s economy is much more stable now as compared to the situation in 2013,” he claimed.
He also claimed that the tax collection has been increased by two times.
He also said that the heavy investment on energy projects caused a burden on the imports but added that the pressure is endurable.
