Religious parties rally in favour of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat

GUJRANWALA: Various religious parties held rallies protesting the government’s attempts to allegedly undermine “Khatm-e-Nubuwwat” laws, at GT road, on Friday. Local leaders of Sunni Tehrik, Jamat-e-Ahle Sunnat, Jamat Raza-E-Mustafa, and others led the protests. The protesters held banners in favour of Khatm-e-Nubuwwat and chanted slogans against Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah over his statement, allegedly in favour of Ahmadis. The protesters demanded that government take action against the provincial minister and strip him of his ministership.

Hospital guard beats up citizen: A DHQ hospital security guard allegedly beat up a citizen, Imran, for trying to enter a hospital ward, on Friday. It was reported that Imran came to the hospital to visit a relative but was stopped by the security guard. The guard was accused of beating Imran up and forcing him to leave the hospital’s premises.

Emergency desks set up for dengue cases: DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Anwar Aman set up front desks at the hospital for emergencies regarding dengue patients. He said the staff at those desks would perform duties round the clock. He said free tests and medicines were being provided to the patients and those with any complaints could contact the focal person, Dr Abdul Basit.
