LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) General House by adopting a resolution cancelled the membership of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and imposed a lifetime ban his entry to the bar premises for making a controversial statement in favour of Qadianis. The members also chanted slogans against the minister and said that he would face the ban until he openly called Ahmadis non-Muslims. LHCBA Vice President Rashid Lodhi moved the resolution before the General House meeting on Friday and the lawyers unanimously passed it. In his address, Lodhi said that a man could not be a Muslim unless and until he believed in the finality of prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Secretary Amir Saeed Rawn strongly condemned the statement of Rana Sanaullah and said that a person could only be called a Muslim if he had faith in Khatm-e-Nabuwat (finality of prophethood). He said that the law minister’s statement was also in violation of the constitution in which Ahmadis were declared non-Muslims. He said that the law minister made a blatant violation of the constitution for which he could not be welcomed by the legal fraternity.
