Seven policemen have been abducted by unidentified armed men from the Ahmedzai sub-division in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Bannu district, District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin confirmed. The armed assailants seized control of the Rocha checkpost and took the police personnel hostage. DPO Ziauddin said that a search operation has been launched in the area, with authorities cordoning off the location to apprehend the kidnappers. The abduction occurred shortly after the Maghrib prayer when a group of armed men stormed the checkpost and took the officers, including their weapons, to an undisclosed location. The abducted policemen have been identified as Saleem, Aqal Rehman, Mewah Jan, Roshan, Abdul Malik, Neematullah, and Shad Muhammad. Authorities are working to secure their release and bring those responsible to justice.
