The introductory ceremony for the 12th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) was held at the Expo Centre in Karachi.

During the event, the Pakistan Armed Forces performed a remarkable drill showcasing their professional training. The exhibition, scheduled to run from November 19 to 22, will feature delegations from various countries displaying their military equipment.

In addition to international exhibitors, locally produced defence products will also be on display.

Commodore Atta Zaz Khalid, Director of Media at the Defence Ministry, provided a media briefing on IDEAS 2024, highlighting the four-day event’s activities, including the opening ceremony, seminars on defence industries, and meetings with industry leaders.

He emphasised that the exhibition provides Pakistan a significant platform to showcase its domestic defence products while strengthening international partnerships. Atta Zaz Khalid also noted that IDEAS helps promote Pakistan’s strategic positioning and defence capabilities to the world.

The event is poised to benefit Pakistan’s defence exports, boosting the country’s economy while fostering networking and business opportunities with foreign delegations and defence technology providers.

IDEAS 2024 is seen as an essential event that not only promotes business but also accelerates technology transfer and defence manufacturing, contributing to Pakistan’s economic and strategic growth.
