Dolphins end losing run with win over Rams

The Miami Dolphins ended a three-game losing streak and kept their faint play-off hopes alive with a 23-15 win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Tua Tagovailoa passed for 207 yards and completed 20 of 28 passes as the Dolphins improved to three wins and six defeats for the season. Tyreek Hill and Malik Washington scored touchdowns and Jason Sanders kicked three field goals, including two from 50 yards, to seal the win at the SoFi Stadium in California.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford completed 32 of 46 passes for 293 yards but did not throw a touchdown pass as their three-game winning streak came to an end.

The Dolphins stay second behind runaway leaders the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, but still harbour hopes of landing the final wildcard qualification spot with seven games remaining. “When we’re playing our best ball, we can still beat anybody,” said Dolphins defensive tackle Calais Campbell. “We’ve just got to continue to believe, continue to fight. The margin for error is zero. So it’s one game, but we’ve got to keep it going. “For us to go where we want to go, we’ve got to keep fighting and believe.”
