Pneumonia can be dangerous for children and the elderly, said Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif in her message on World Pneumonia Day. She added, “Pneumonia kills millions of children and the elderly worldwide every yea.” She highlighted, “Pneumonia vaccination is essential for children under the age of five.” Madam Chief Minister said, “Pneumonia can be controlled with timely diagnosis and treatment.” She added, “Awareness of prevention and timely treatment of pneumonia is a collective responsibility.” She underscored, “Pay special attention to the health of children in winter to prevent pneumonia.” Separately, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives due to falling down of a vehicle into a river in Gilgit Baltistan. She expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolence with the bereaved families.
