KARACHI: The Paramilitary force claim to have arrested about a dozen suspects including gangsters of Lyari during the ongoing targeted raids and operations in parts of a metropolis.
The arrested suspects have been involved in various cases of terrorism, target killing, robberies and drugs peddling, said the Ranger spokesperson. Two gangsters of Lyari gang were arrested during separate raids in Chakiwara and Baghdadi areas of Lyari. The gangsters arrested were identified as Gul Muhammad and Gul Faraz. Rangers spokesperson said that the gangsters arrested belonged to Uzair Baloch group of Lyari gangsters, adding that the arrested gangsters have been involved in various cases of terrorism and crime including hand grenade attacks and target killings, particularly in Dubai Chowk and Singu Lane areas of Lyari.
Seven more suspected criminals were arrested during a raid conducted in Saudabad area. The suspects arrested were identified as Shoaib, Azam, Amir, Saeed alias Bhola, Jahanzaib, Zohaib and Ovais. Rangers spokesperson said that the suspects arrested were involved in various cases of street crimes and robberies.
Two more suspects were arrested during raids in Mehmoodabad and Nazimabad areas. The suspects arrested were identified as Akmal and Nadeem. They were accused of being involved in drug peddling business. Meanwhile, a suspected criminal, namely Yousuf was arrested from Saudabad area. Ranger’s spokesperson said that the accused was wanted in various cases of street crimes. The Rangers also claim to have recovered arms, ammunitions and narcotics from their possession while further investigation was underway.
