Chinese Wind Power Project Cluster in Pakistan has been recognized as one of the top 10 “International Green Energy Pioneer Projects” in the 2024 Green Development Annual Tribute Awards. Developed by PowerChina, this cluster includes 12 wind projects with 290 turbines. Providing 2 billion kWh of electricity annually to Pakistan’s grid, it supports local sustainable development and the global “dual carbon” strategy. During the 2024 Green Development Annual Tribute award ceremony, which was held at the Zero-carbon Mission 2024 International Climate Summit on Oct 15 in Beijing, three overseas projects by Power Construction Corporation of China made the list of Top 10 International Green Energy Pioneer Projects. The three projects are the Cauchari 315 Megawatt Photovoltaic project in Jujuy, Argentina, the Wind Power Project Cluster in Pakistan, and the Zhanatas 100 MW Wind Power EPC Project in Kazakhstan. The 2024 Green Development Annual Tribute selection featured three lists and five honorary titles. The International Green Energy Pioneer Projects list was jointly launched by Phoenix Television and the China International Contractors Association. It highlights the 10 projects by Chinese contracting companies that have made the most significant contributions to international green energy transformation based on a comprehensive selection of “Sustainable Infrastructure Projects Overseas from China” by the China International Contractors Association in 2022 and 2024. The inclusion of three Chinese ongoing projects on the list demonstrates the country’s confidence and determination in focusing on sustainable development and actively participating in the global “dual carbon” strategy to address climate change. The Phoenix Television Green Development Annual Tribute award ceremony is one of the most influential events in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development globally. The awards are evaluated by authoritative institutions such as S&P Global and Zhongchengxin Green Gold, ensuring the objectivity and reliability of the selection process.
