SEDF, HABIBMETRO partner to support SME growth in Sindh

In a strategic move aimed at supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and encouraging economic growth in Sindh, the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) has entered into an Institutional Collaboration Agreement with HABIBMETRO.

The signing ceremony took place at HABIBMETRO Head Office where Mr. Khizar Pervaiz, CEO of SEDF, and Mr. Khurram Shahzad Khan, President & Chief Executive of HABIBMETRO, formalised this partnership. The event was also attended by notable representatives from both organisations.

This partnership focuses on facilitating long-term financing options and technical support for Small and Medium Enterprises across priority sectors such as agriculture, livestock, dairy, mining, green energy, and women entrepreneurship. Through this collaboration, the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund will provide subsidies on KIBOR, making credit more accessible and affordable for businesses seeking to expand in Sindh.

Mr. Khizar Pervaiz, CEO of the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, emphasised, “This agreement underscores our commitment to accelerating the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises by offering financial and technical support. Together with HABIBMETRO, we are creating an enabling environment for local businesses to flourish, ultimately contributing to the economic prosperity of Sindh.”

Mr. Khurram Shahzad Khan, President & Chief Executive of HABIBMETRO, added, “Our partnership with the Sindh Enterprise Development Fund aligns with our vision of supporting sustainable development and empowering small and medium enterprises. By leveraging both financial and advisory services, we aim to accelerate business activity in sectors critical to the province’s economy.”

This agreement marks a significant step forward in fostering partnerships aimed at sustainable development. Both organizations are committed to working closely to ensure the success of this initiative and create a positive impact on the local business landscape.
