The Urdu trailer of Bangladeshi film ‘Toofan’ attracts movie enthusiasts, who say they can’t as the Shakib Khan starrer is set to release in Pakistan on November 1.

Dhallywood megastar Shakib Khan’s highly anticipated film Toofan is slated to debut in 43 theatres across the country during its first week.

The production company, Alpha-i, confirmed that the film will be dubbed in Urdu, differing from its original Bengali version.

It has generated excitement among viewers ahead of the film’s release.

A user wrote: “This is even better than the Hindi one. Can’t wait for the full release.”

One commented: “What a great trailer. No wonder this is the highest-grossing film in Bangladesh.”

Another said: “Oh wow this looks very interesting! I’m definitely going to watch it.”

Alpha-i also announced that Toofan has received approval from the Pakistan Film Censor Board.

The film will be screened in major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Faisalabad and Gujranwala.

The promotional posters for the movie are already featured in Cineplexes throughout Pakistan.

Prior to this, Toofan was released in Hindi in Bihar, India, on September 13, 2024.

The film has already achieved success in various international markets, including Australia, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Director Raihan Rafi noted that Shakib Khan personally coordinated with Pakistani distributors to facilitate the film’s release. Rafi said: “We think this will be quite interesting for us.”

In Toofan, Shakib Khan showcases his versatility by playing a dual role, further solidifying his status as Dhallywood’s leading hero. He stars alongside Nabila and the renowned Mimi Chakraborty.

Other cast members include Chanchal Chowdhury, Shahiduzzaman Salim, Gazi Rakayet, and Fazlur Rahman Babu.

The film’s plot centres Ghalib, a young man who transforms into the gangster Toofan.

It also addresses the struggles of a junior artist named Shanto.

The two characters share a striking resemblance, leading Toofan to recruit Shanto into his empire for his own gain.

In addition to its theatrical release, the film has also recently become available on popular OTT platforms Chorki and Hoichoi.

This has provided fans with the opportunity to enjoy the film from the comfort of their homes.

Toofan’s cross-border release highlights the rising popularity of Bangladeshi films in international markets and the growing demand for content featuring Shakib Khan.
