The district administration has issued security advisory for government employees advising them to avoid unnecessary travelling on three major roads of Dera Ismail Khan.

According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, all the officers and officials were directed to avoid unnecessary or frequent movements on the Bannu-DI Khan road, DI Khan-Zhob road and DI Khan-Tank road. The security advisory has been sent to all the government departments so that the instructions can be conveyed to all concerned employees.

The security advisory was issued after a communication received from the District Police Officer that ‘Khawarjis’ were planning to kidnap the government employees during their movement on these roads.

The employees were asked to avoid making unnecessary stays or stops during their travel, avoid one route for travel and not to share their schedule of movement with irrelevant persons or departments. They were advised to refrain from using the same route repeatedly.
