LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved four development schemes worth Rs 16.43 billion. The schemes were approved at the 7th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party held at P&D Complex on Friday. Planning and Development Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the P&D Board, provincial secretaries and other senior representatives of the provincial departments also attended the meeting. The approved development schemes included: capacity building of P&D Department for improved policy planning and monitoring of development process in Punjab at the cost of Rs. 548.194 million, while rest of the projects envisage reconstruction and rehabilitation of roads under the Khadim-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme.
